Privacy Policy — Perfect Bedtime Story (PBS)

PerplexiTeam (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information for the Perfect Bedtime Story (PBS) mobile application (“PBS” or “the app”), which is designed to generate customized bedtime stories using artificial intelligence (AI) based on user-supplied inputs.

PBS is developed for general audiences, including children. We do not knowingly collect, store, or share personal data from children or users of any age.

1. No Personal Data Collected

PBS does not require users to sign up, log in, or provide any identifying information. We do not collect or store:

User inputs provided to generate stories are processed locally within the app and sent only to OpenAI’s servers for the sole purpose of generating story content. These inputs are not saved by us or shared with third parties.

2. AI-Powered Story Generation

All stories are generated using OpenAI’s API, including models such as GPT-4 and GPT-4o. The inputs provided by the user are sent to OpenAI’s servers for processing and are returned as story text. OpenAI may temporarily retain data to monitor for abuse or improve performance, per their own Privacy Policy and Terms of Use. PBS does not store or retain this data.

3. Children’s Privacy

PBS is designed for use with children aged 2–8, with all story content tailored to be age-appropriate, calming, and free from harmful or sensitive material. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under the age of 13 in compliance with COPPA (Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act) and equivalent global standards.

4. In-App Purchases

PBS uses RevenueCat to manage in-app purchases, including freemium access and credit-based story packages. While Apple and RevenueCat may process anonymized purchase data to verify transactions, PBS does not receive or retain any personal billing or payment information.

5. No Analytics or Advertising

PBS does not use third-party analytics, advertising services, or behavioral tracking of any kind. The app does not serve ads and does not use cookies or tracking identifiers.

6. Security

Although PBS does not store personal data, we take appropriate technical measures to protect the security of data transmitted during AI processing or purchase validation. All communications with external services (e.g., OpenAI, RevenueCat, Apple) are encrypted via HTTPS.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available at:

Material changes will be clearly communicated via app update notes or on our website.

8. App Tracking Transparency

Our app does not collect or share personal data for tracking purposes. However, because the app includes standard third-party SDKs (such as those used for analytics, crash reporting, or in-app purchases), Apple may require us to include an App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt. We do not use this data to create user profiles or deliver targeted advertising. You can choose whether or not to allow tracking via the iOS system prompt when first opening the app.
